Demonstrating their continuing commitment to the nationwide education sector, Leaderflush Shapland has supplied 247 doorsets to the newly built Donaldson’s school in West Lothian.

A Grant Aided Special School supported by the Scottish Government, Donaldson’s is a national residential and day school, providing education and care for pupils aged 2.5 to 19 who are deaf or have severe speech and language difficulties.  With facilities including a gym, swimming pool, fitness room, dining room, library, and assembly hall as well as a life skills room and art studio, it is the most modern educational establishment of its kind in the UK.

The doorsets were supplied from Leaderflush Shapland’s Designer and Plasform^® WR ranges, with fire ratings of FD30, FD60 and non-rated. The Designer range doorsets were veneer faced in crown cut American white oak and laminate faced in a variety of wood grain effects and colours appropriate to the school environment. The Plasform^® WR doorsets where the obvious choice for the swimming pool and other wet areas, as it has been specifically developed to prevent moisture ingress and due to the radiused vertical edges to door leaves and all frame edges, together with the postforming of facings around them, Plasform^® WR doorsets are easy to clean and low maintenance.
