Sentinel – the innovative new hand and finger protection solution from Leaderflush Shapland has been recognised as one of only 24 products nationwide by the Construction Products Association (CPA) in the 2009 edition of Construction Products Innovation and Achievement (CPIA).

The CPIA annually showcases the most innovative products and processes created by the construction products industry during the last twelve months. Simon Storer, Communications and External Affairs Director for the CPA comments: “We are delighted that the construction products industry has once again shown an enormous desire to introduce a variety of new and exciting solutions. Despite the economic downturn in the UK, and the construction industry suffering more than most, you only need look at the products and processes showcased in CPIA to highlight the huge input the industry is making towards change. The CPIA demonstrates how the construction products industry is continuously developing and improving by creating innovative solutions which make a significant impact to all aspects of construction.”

Sentinel uses a pivoted design with decorative timber elements as an integral part of the doorset. As such it cannot be forcibly removed, negating the cost of ongoing replacement and the need for on-site trades fitting unsightly, retro-fit components.

Sentinel is also a high performance doorset offering 30 minutes fire resistance, approved Document M and BS8300 compliant opening forces and 30RwdB sound reduction.
